This is an interesting, simple story about Mr. Snore who checks into the Sharemore Hotel. He is looking for a place to sleep because he is very sleepy. The bellhop takes him to Room 104 on the first floor of the hotel. As he is falling asleep, he hears a squeak, and a mouse is sleeping on the pillow next to him. Mr. Snore calls the front desk and wants another room. The bellhop takes him to second floor but again there is a problem. Mr. Snore goes to each floor but there is a problem on each floor. There is a twist at the end of the story.
This book is fun and introduces ordinal numbers, first floor, second floor, third floor – all the way to thethirteenth floor. I can also see children building hotels in the block area after reading this book. I think preschoolers will enjoy this story and learn some new vocabulary words.
