Engineering in Preschool: Fostering Critical, Creative, and Innovative Thinking

Learning Level 2: Intermediate/Application

Intended Audience: ECSE and General Educators, Teacher Assistants

In this intermediate workshop, participants will deepen their understanding of engineering and what engineering looks like in early childhood. Through engaging in hands-on experiences, participants will discuss ways to nurture the development of engineering habits of mind. There will be an opportunity to make connections to materials typically found in the early childhood classroom and natural engineering opportunities.

Continuing Education – This training will provide 5 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) 2
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals
  • Gateways to Opportunity credit in area D (Org. ID# B40093)

Full attendance is required to receive a certificate.
