Transition from Early Intervention to Early Childhood Services: Roles and Responsibilities (webinar)

There will be a break in the webinars from 11am-1pm.

Intended Audience: Administrators, ECSE and General Educators, Teacher Assistants, Family Members, Family Educators, Psychologists, Social Workers, SLP’s, OT/PT’s, Early Intervention Personnel

The Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Human Services developed this standardized training to address the requirements of the federal law, Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) to ensure a smooth and effective transition process is in place for children and their families who will be transitioning from Early Intervention into Early Childhood Special Education. This training will cover requirements regarding timeline, role responsibilities, transition process meetings, state forms, as well as vital partnerships, collaborative relationships and positive strategies. Full attendance and completion of the reflection assignment is required to receive a certificate.

Continuing Education – This training will provide 5 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) 6
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals
  • Gateways to Opportunity credit in area C (Org. ID# B40093)
  • EI Credit in the area of Families

Full attendance is required to receive a certificate.
