Learning Level 1: Introductory/Awareness
Intended Audience – Administrators, ECSE/General Educators, Paraeducators, Family Educators, Psychologists, Social Workers, SLPs, OT/PTs
Description – Intensity of intervention has little to do with the length of a child’s classroom day and everything to do with the number of meaningful learning opportunities a child is exposed to throughout their day. This session will describe, in detail, how to create a balanced daily schedule and how to break the day down into three components – Events, Activities, and Routines (also known as Routines within Routines within Routines). We will then examine how to use routines to embed consistent, meaningful, and fun learning opportunities throughout the day to promote learning across developmental domains.
