Bob is a unicorn, but when he comes across various other animals they do not see him as a unicorn. Bob is disappointed and about to give up his unicorn dream until he meets a friend that sees him exactly as he sees himself. The responses of the animals Bob meets can lead to discussions on how each one of them might be feeling, as well as how they think Bob might be feeling as the story goes on.  This is a simple read that reminds readers young and old the joys of slowing down and enjoying the beauty of pretend play.
