This beautifully illustrated book features a young girl, Rumi, as she describes who is in her family. She talks about how her two dads, her brother, and her dog makes a family of five. She then goes on to describe the different types of families that she knows. This book is a nice look at the diverse ways that families can be made up. By showing the variety of family types, it gives children a chance to see themselves represented in the book. This would be a fantastic addition to any class or family library.
