Understanding Sensory Processing (Moodle Course on APPLES Video #192)

Intended Audience – Administrators, ECSE Educators, General Educators, Paraeducators, Family Members, Family Educators, Psychologists, Social Workers, SLPs, OT/PTs

Description – This Moodle Course (based on an Apples Video), Jennifer Rosinia, occupational therapist, child development specialist, and owner of Kid Links Unlimited, Inc., shares insights and need-to-know information for families, teachers, and caregivers on sensory processing. Valley View Early Learning Center staff in Romeoville, Illinois are also featured in this video and share their perspective on sensory experiences for all children, including individualizing and providing supports for children with sensory processing differences.

Continuing Education – This webinar will provide .75 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) 2
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals

  • Jennifer Rosinia
    Jennifer Rosinia is an Occupational Therapist and Child Development Specialist. A master clinician and a gifted teacher, Dr. Rosinia has taken a stand for the body specifically the ways in which the neurobiological systems impact relationships, development, and learning. Areas of specialization include sensory processing, the stress response system, adverse childhood experiences and the ways in which experiences in and with nature impact development. Dr. Rosinia is on faculty at the Erikson Institute. Jennifer has a growing national reputation as a powerful speaker and consultant. Dr. Rosinia brings a healthy balance of humor, passion, and expertise to all of her presentations. She is the president of Kid Links Unlimited, Incorporated a company whose mission is to link theory to practice, parents with professionals and kids with their optimal potential.
