Paraeducator Series: Working on Physical Development: Building Our Skills as We Work with Children (webinar)

Learning Level 1: Introductory/Awareness

Intended Audience – Paraeducators

Description – In this webinar, we will examine how to improve children’s gross motor and fine motor skills, using research-based methodologies and ideas for incorporating learning in fun and meaningful ways. We will discuss the importance of movement and brain wiring, and how incorporating the two together will often help children make gains in other areas of development as well.

Continuing Education – This webinar will provide 1.5 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) 1
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals
  • Gateways to Opportunity credit in area B (Org. ID# B40093, Event ID# )

Full participation is required to receive a certificate.

  • Roseann Slaght
    Roseann Slaght has worked as a Family Resource Specialist for STARnet for 23 years. Her goals are to embrace inclusive practices, and find ways to support each child in order to develop their full potential, and include parents as partners in the learning process. She is a parent of two adult men with significant disabilities. In her spare time, she is also a licensed Massage Therapist. Rose earned her degree in Child Development.
