Administrator Boot Camp!

Learning Level 1: Introductory/Awareness

Intended Audience: NEW Administrators

This introductory training is geared towards NEW administrators working in Illinois State Board of Education funded programs, including Early Childhood Special Education, Blended, and Preschool for All and Preschool for All Expansion programs. Administrators will be provided with the need-to-know information on high-quality early childhood programs from an ISBE principal consultant and hear from a veteran administrator on how to be successful in implementing a high-quality early childhood program. If you are a new administrator or simply want to become more familiar with ISBE program requirements, this boot camp is for you!

Continuing Education – This training will provide 5 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) 5
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals
  • Gateways to Opportunity credit in area D (Org. ID# B40093)

Full attendance is required to receive a certificate.

  • Kristy Doan
    Kristy Doan is a principal consultant in the early childhood division at the Illinois State Board of Education. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist and a special education administrator prior to her work with ISBE.
  • Kimberly Nelson

    Kimberly Nelson is the Executive Director of Early Childhood for the Rockford Public Schools. She has worked as an Early Childhood Self-Contained Teacher and Early Childhood Resource teacher prior to her work as the Executive Director for Rockford Public Schools.
