Intended Audience: ECSE and General Educators, Teacher Assistants, Family Educators, Psychologists, Social Workers, SLP’s, OT/PT’s

Join us for this lively and interactive webinar as we discuss developmentally appropriate models for motivating children to be positive members of the school community. Specifically, this webinar will address why behavior charts are not an appropriate motivator for young children and the research on the potential harm of using rewards and punishments as a method for reducing challenging or unwanted behaviors in the classroom. Alternative strategies will be shared that focus current child development research and long-term solutions that support children in learning behavior expectations and developing a positive sense of self.

Continuing Education – This webinar will provide 2 contact hours for the following:
