Intended Audience – Family Members

Description – Are you tired of getting the run-around while wading through an alphabet soup of acronyms? Are you frustrated because you are unsure of how to help your child struggling in school? Skills for Effective Parent Advocacy will provide you with these important tools: going from frustration to empowerment; who is an advocate and why we become one; how to effectively advocate for your child.

Continuing Education
This event does NOT provide any formal continuing education credit, such as CPDUs, CE credit, or EI credit. Certificates will not be issued.

  • Paula Will
    Paula Wills has worked with Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) for eight years as the organization’s Outreach Coordinator. Paula has served on the Illinois Statewide Transition Conference Planning Committee since 2013 and is a Program Partner for the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. She served as Vice President of the Illinois TASH Chapter from 2014 to February 2017.
