Learning Level 1: Introductory/Awareness

Intended Audience – Paraeducators

Description – In this webinar, we will delve into the subject of friendships, how to make them, maintain them and support them to flourish and grow. Many children lack the skills to broach the gifts and challenges of relationships, and by supporting and facilitating these opportunities in our classrooms, we can help children grow and develop many social and emotional skills.

Continuing Education – This webinar will provide 1.5 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) 3
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals
  • Gateways to Opportunity credit in area E (Org. ID# B40093, Event ID# )

Full participation is required to receive a certificate.

  • Roseann Slaght
    Roseann Slaght has worked as a Family Resource Specialist for STARnet for 23 years. Her goals are to embrace inclusive practices, and find ways to support each child in order to develop their full potential, and include parents as partners in the learning process. She is a parent of two adult men with significant disabilities. In her spare time, she is also a licensed Massage Therapist. Rose earned her degree in Child Development.
