LRE Regional Roundtable

Learning Level 2: Intermediate/Application

Intended Audience: Administrator, ECSE and General Educators

This Regional Roundtable meeting is targeted technical assistance regarding Preschool LRE (Least Restrictive Environment) for Northwestern and Central Illinois. The meeting will allow you to meet with other districts, learn about various models to implement LRE, and hear from representatives a school districts that implement inclusive options for children ages 3 – 5 in the area. You will develop a plan to increase LRE options for ages 3 – 5 in your district. Presenters and facilitators at this event will include ISBE Principal Consultants from the Division of Early Childhood, Early CHOICES and STAR NET Technical Assistance Providers and school district representatives.

Continuing Education – This workshop will provide 5.0 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals

Full attendance is required to receive a certificate.

Presenter Bios


  • Kristy Doan
    Kristy Doan is a principal consultant in the early childhood division at the Illinois State Board of Education. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist and a special education administrator prior to her work with ISBE.
  • Ann Kremer
    Ann Kremer is the Project Director for Early CHOICES, whose mission is to increase high quality inclusive opportunities for young children. Ann has a masters of education in early childhood education. She has been working towards inclusive education her entire career as a provider, consultant and as a leader. Ann is committed to this work as a professional and also as a parent of a young man with Down syndrome who experienced inclusive education and continues to be an active participant in his community.
