Using Classroom Assessment Data to Support Continuous Quality Improvement (webinar)

Learning Level 2: Intermediate/Application

Intended Audience: Administrators

This intermediate webinar is geared toward program leaders who support continuous quality improvement. During this webinar, presenters will provide a short overview of the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale-3rd edition, Inclusive Classroom Profile, and Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool and discuss how program leaders can use the data to inform professional learning communities and individual professional development plans. Participants will practice analyzing data and developing strategies to include staff in ongoing improvements.

Continuing Education – This webinar will provide 1.5 contact hours for the following:

  • Educator License Renewal
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credit in area(s) 5
  • CE credit for SLP, SW, LCPC, PT, and OT professionals
  • Gateways to Opportunity credit in area G (Org. ID# B40093, Event ID# )

  • Emily Reilly
    Emily Reilly, Early Childhood Resource Specialist with STARnet Regions I and III is a proven leader with 14 years of experience in early care and education. Emily has served in a variety of leadership roles in the field including master teacher, associate director, college instructor, trainer and IL AEYC board member. Emily presents on a variety of topics including anti-bias curriculum, project approach, inclusive practices, reflective practice, and portfolios. She is passionate about supporting adult learners in improving their practice, specifically when it comes to making sure all children and families feel a sense of belonging and community. In her spare time, she enjoys running, yoga, trying new foods, and hanging out with her family.
  • Connie Shugart
    Connie Shugart, Project Coordinator STARnet Regions I & III, has over 30 years of experience working in the field of early childhood education. Her experiences include teaching and/or training of early childhood and early intervention professionals and families. She has done presentations at many regional, state and national conferences. A few of her topics include curriculum, assessment, standards, environments, child development, and play. Connie is also one of the Executive Producers and hosts of Apples Magazine training videos. Her passions include educating professionals and families on play and the impact that the early childhood environment has on teaching and learning.
